A place where to write down a report of exciting experiences, a medium for artistic expressions, a mean to send a message to another group or simply a way to communicate their feelings and opinions: the postcards were widely used by the organisers and the young participants of the third edition of Youth at the Top.

In June they were distributed to all the partners and now you can have a taste of this great adventure: take a look at the YAT 2017 Collection of Postcards!

Hundreds of young people met across the Alps and the Carpathians, all engaging in a great adventure spending one day and one night in the mountains.

The third edition of “Youth at the Top” took place on July 11th and July 12th in six Alpine countries and three countries of the Carpathians.

This time, the international youth event hosted 48 events which involved numerous different day and night activities.

Hence, more than 500 enthusiastic young people from Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Slovenia, Switzerland, Poland, Romania and Slovakia set out on a great adventure to discover the treasures of the mountain environment.

The Appendix 2 to the Handbook is thought for all those partners of Youth at the Top who received the pedagogical tool "The Alps in my Backpack". In this short guide they will find some useful information concerning the tools and its contents as well as some tips on how to use it for animation and educational activities. Do not forget to get back to us with some feedback!

Skupaj/Insieme 2017

Each year we take the oportunity and organize a joined event for the two groups of Junior Rangers coming from Prealpi Giulie Nature Park and Triglav. We believe it's important youth from across the border meet and do things for nature together.

Übernachtung auf Selbstversorgerhütte

Übernachtung auf einer Selbstversorgerhütte ohne Strom auf ca. 2000 m. Gemeinsame Vorbereitung des Abendessens, danach Nachtwanderung. Am nächsten Tag Besteigung des Berggipfels Dürrenstein, am Nachmittag Rückkehr.

Mach mit und erlebe zwei abenteuerliche Tage mit Wandern, Klettern und übernachte auf 2‘385 m ü.M.. Helfe mit beim Wegmarkieren mit kreativen Steinmanndli entlang der neuen Route Richtung Vizan Pintg. Der Naturpark Beverin und die Bergsportschule Grischa laden Kinder und Jugendliche ein, an diesem einzigartigen Event teilzunehmen.

Steinbock & Adler - den Alpentieren auf der Spur

Wir wandern vom Talgrund in den Lebensraum der Alpentiere und entdecken auf unserem Weg Spuren, beobachten mit etwas Glück Gämsen, Steinböcke und vielleicht sogar den Adler und erfahren viel spannendes zu den Lebensweisen unserer einheimischen Wildtiere im Alpenraum. Mit kreativen Aktivitäten unterwegs schauen wir uns den Alpenraum aus der Perspektive der Wildtiere an.

Youth at the top - Das Gipfelerlebnis

Wir steigen zusammen auf das Illhorn, geniessen den Sonnenuntergang mit einer einmaligen Aussicht auf die umliegenden Berge (Matterhorn, Rothorn, Bella Tola und vielen andere) und übernachten gemeinsam in einer SAC-Hütte. Am nächsten Tag steigen wir über den Illhornpass zur Meretschialp. Dort wartet ein unvergessliches Abenteuer....

Youth at the top in Pieniny National Park 

Mladým ľuďom poskytneme možnosť spoznať pôsobivú krajinnú scenériu Pienin. Spoločne nahliadneme do spoločenstiev lesa, lúk a budeme obdivovať tiesňavu so sústavou perejí, vodopádov a „obrých hrncov“, ktorý vymodeloval potok Malý Lipník. Spoznáme geologickú minulosť Pienin a okolia prostredníctvom geologických lokalít. Vystúpime na vrch Čertová skala, počas výstupu prostredníctvom rôznych environmentálnych hier budeme spoznávať flóru, faunu a dôležitosť ochrany prírody. Vo večerných hodinách program obohatí odchyt netopierov, počúvanie večerných zvukov pri ohnisku spojených so sledovaným západu slnka.

Youth at the Top in Malá Fatra National Park

Pre deti a mladých ľudí bude pripravený zážitkový program spojený s rôznymi aktivitami. Ten zrealizujeme v doline Bystrička, ktorá je jedna z najmenej navštevovaných a patrí k najzachovalejším častiam Národného parku Malá Fatra. Vystúpime do sedla Medziholie, ktoré spája dva monumenty Stoh a Veľký Rozsutec. Ich spoločná charakteristická silueta poukazuje na geologickú stavbu Malej Fatry. Cestou spoznáme krásy tejto doliny, budeme sledovať rôzne druhy rastlín a živočíchov a možno sa nám podarí pozorovať medveďa. V poobedňajších hodinách vyvesíme búdky pre netopiere a večer sa pri ohni  zahráme rôzne environmentálne hry.
